The EKO-System Public Portal framework supports a number of data widgets designed to efficiently search and display EKO-System related content. These widgets are bound directly to your EKO-System database and provide a seemless link between your portal and EKO-System data.
The Text Search Box provides a basic text-based search for projects and electronic documents by name, keyword or attribute.
The Search Result widget is used with the other search widgets to display the results of a project or document search. Visitors can do the following when viewing search results: start another search, link to the search result page, view search results on a map, or link to an advanced search page.
The Advanced Search widget allows your visitors to perform a project search by combining a number of project search conditions. In addition to basic searchable attributes (i.e. Project Name, Start/End Dates, Status, Category, and Database) this widget can be configured to include additional search criteria. The additional search criteria can be any combination of Project Reporting Codes lists and People/Organization Reference lists.
The Organization Information widget displays detailed information related to a given organization data site within the EKO-System. Organization information is organized into for selectable tabs. All information presented in this widget is maintained by users within the EKO-System repository and should be considered the "latest-and-greatest".
The first tab contains general organization information such as contact details and a description. The "Projects" tab contains a multi-level view of the projects within the data site (see Screen Shot 2). Visitors can expand project folders to view projects within them. Clicking on a project will display a project pop-up with links to full project detail. The "Files" tab provides a list of electronic documents the the organization has chosen to publish. The "Map" tab provides an interactive map of projects managed by the organization (see Screen Shot 3). All organization information, projects, files and maps are managed within the EKO-System.
The Basic Organization Information widget displays only the basic information about a given organization as defined in their EKO-System data site. This information includes a photo, contact information and a description.
The Project Rotator widget displays a snapshot of a recently updated project from the EKO-System repository. This widget is often placed somewhere on the portal home page so that there is different content each time someone visits the portal. The spotlighted project changes each time the page is refreshed. Visitors can click on the links provided to view more information or show the project on a map. The widget layout can be displayed in a vertical or horizontal view. The photo can also be displayed as a small or large thumbnail.

The Project List widget displays projects from an organization's multi-level project structure. Level 1 projects are displayed as project folders. Level 2 projects are listed under each Level 1 project folder. Clicking on each project will display a project info pop-up and include links to additional project information. Level 3 projects are not included in this view, but are listed in the detailed project view when selected.
The File List widget displays a list of electronic documents and web links flagged for publication. Documents and links are organized by type and can be downloaded by clicking on the link.
